Tara has worked at UFV for 20 years, starting out as a student. Graduated from the Office Careers program (now called Applied Business Technology) in 1996, and more recently earned my Bachelor of General Studies from UFV in 2019.
"Transitioning from a student to an employee has given me a strong sense of loyalty and pride towards UFV. There are endless amounts of opportunities to grow and develop, which I have done over the past 20 years throughout my UFV career. I have always enjoyed coming to work; not only loving the work, which is challenging and exciting – continuously learning, but the people and the culture / work environment are what I truly enjoy. Everyone at UFV is there for the same purpose – to support students, and we are all a team, regardless of your position or department. There isn’t that feeling of hierarchy, where just because an individual has a higher level position, they can’t be approached – everyone feels equal with the same goal. It is truly a positive, inspiring work environment."
