Event description

Description

This is the second technical planning session for CUTRIC's National Smart Vehicle project. The session will be on August 10th , 2017 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm hosted graciously by PMG Testing in Blainville Quebec.

The Smart Vehicle project is an exciting and innovative project that aims to integrate and unify the fragmented automated/autonomous (AV) "demonstration" sites in Canada as part of CUTRIC's Supercluster bid.

The first technical planning session took place on June 19th. The session consisted of consultation with various industry stakeholders on the following questions: ‘Is there merit in unification of fragmented municipal AV footprints?’ ‘What are the reasons that unification is not currently happening?’ ‘What are the roles of each jurisdiction?’ And, “what are two main technical outputs for a set of unified national AV pilot projects’? The planning session was very productive and provided excellent feedback.

Session #2 will take provide stakeholders to further hone into the details of the project and address some of the discussion questions participants highlighted at session one.

We look forward to you perspectives and involvement.
