Event description

Description

This lunch and learn will feature folks from the trans community along with two trans-inclusive healthcare providers who will all go over the definition for medical transitioning, steps to start taking hormones, steps to access top and/or bottom surgery, followed by plenty of time for Q & A. This session is tailored towards folks from the trans community who are seeking information on transitioning, parents of trans kids who are wanting to transition, and healthcare providers who are interested in providing better and more appopriate care to transgender patients.

The event will be structured as a talking circle so that all participants have time to speak and listen following the initial presentation by our presenters.

This event is being put on during Transgender Awareness Week along with two other educational events and a series of community events. This lunch and learn was created as a way to provide more accurate information on transitioning to those that need it.
