About this event

Are you a Canadian ocean technology company interested in learning more about the emerging offshore wind market in the U.S. Northeast?

Join the Trade Commissioner Service in Boston for a webinar on the upcoming supply chain and technology needs of the U.S. Offshore Wind industry.

While U.S. offshore wind is still in its infancy, the industry is estimated to create a $70 billion pipeline by 2030. In the Northeast Atlantic, the offshore wind industry is looking forward to setting foundations over the next few years, with each US state charging ahead with their own version of coastal planning, port improvements, training program development, research partnerships, innovation hubs and more.

The offshore industry utilizes marine technology in a variety of ways, ranging from geophysical/geotechnical surveys, ocean data collection and modelling, marine mammal monitoring technologies, vessel design and components and marine training. This program will feature offshore wind developers, regulators and supply chain partners providing a status update for offshore wind development in New England and discussing the upcoming technology needs of the industry.
