Event description
Navigating the Startup Industry as a Student

About this Event

This event is specifically designed to help students interested in getting started or increasing their involvement in the startup world. It will go over the main players in Montreal's ecosystem and the unique opportunities available for students.

Attendees will learn about funding opportunities to start their own businesses and programs designed to facilitate their involvement in the startup world.

This event will be run by Front Row Ventures. Front Row Ventures is Canada's first student run venture firm, investing in student founded startups.

*************************

Front Row Ventures is the first Canadian venture capital fund entirely managed by and for students that invests solely in student-led startups.

Most student entrepreneurs still lack access to capital. They’re closing that gap by backing student founders with an early investment of $25,000, through a SAFE—the most founder-friendly terms that exist in Canada, and a portfolio of resources and world-class mentors.

They believe that students are in a unique position to challenge the status quo. The university years are an entrepreneurial sweet spot and they want to help student founders launch unthinkable ventures that change the world.

Powered by Real Ventures, FRV has successfully run a $600K Quebec-focused pilot fund over the past two years and is now raising a $10M fund to expand its operations to 7 new provinces and more than 30 university campuses across Canada.
