Needle Felt Painting Workshop
Event Information
About this event
We are excited to have Fran Moreno come to us from Chile to teach a needle felt painting workshop.
In this workshop you will learn our needle felt painting methodology: artisanal technique, where through applications with the special needle you will be able to make two works based on the paintings of the great Vincent Van Gogh.
We use as a base for our painting a loom woven with natural wool, which will be intervened with natural fiber "fleece or felt" using and applying artistic concepts to our work. You will learn to apply color concepts (mix, lights, shadows), work space (it will help you with the distribution in your projects), perspective (you will recognize strong points for your projects), among others.
The workshop will be at our Neruda Arts Studios (see how to find us below); maximum 15 people.
Materials & equipment included:
I'm Francisca Moreno, a professor of Visual Arts and Artisan at heart. I love natural fibers and their infinite possibilities which combined with colors, textures and images make these paintings possible with a unique stamp in their technique.
At Lanera Telares, our mission is to teach and make known to the public our methodology for learning the technique of needle felt painting, through tutorials and workshops oriented to art and its great works over time.
Our vision is to seek to provide various courses and workshops to our audience, always using the needle felt technique and promoting creativity at all times.More about Fran
