Thank you for your interest in the Neighbourhood Policing Research Symposium.

The Neighbourhood Policing Research Symposium offers an opportunity for Police and Criminal Justice Professionals to engage in a day long conversation with community leaders and academics about Neighbourhood Policing. The School of Social and Community Services’ Research Team will share lessons learned and results from a three year evaluation study of the Toronto Police Service’s Neighbourhood Policing Program.

Registration will begin at 8:00 am, followed by a Keynote Address on Contemporary Issues in Neighbourhood Policing and Student Poster Presentations on Community Policing.

Workshops will provide Symposium participants an opportunity to attend interdisciplinary panel discussions and in-depth research presentations related to the TPS’ Neighbourhood Policing Evaluation Study. Workshops are organized around these three themes:

  • Senior Leadership
  • Program Effectiveness
  • Proactive Policing

Tickets for the Symposium are $150.00, which will include event registration*, parking, continental breakfast, lunch, and an evening networking reception.
