Want to make real connections and increase opportunities for your business? 95% of people agree that better business relationships are built through face-to-face meetings (Source: HubSpot) so it is clear how important it is to network for your business, even if this networking happens to be at an online meeting or event. In Networking for Success, you will begin to understand the purpose behind why we network while learning networking strategies and taking part in networking exercises during this session to get you started.
In this session, you will learn to:

• Know what to do at a networking event
• Ask the right questions (small group exercise)
• Maximize connections on LinkedIn
• Avoid networking no-no’s
Speaker Bio: Kathryn Hotte (Pronounced Hot)
Kathryn brings 30+ years of experience in sales & corporate executive management as well as developing/facilitating training programs in over 16 countries. She has received many accolades over the years, including national & international awards for sales achievement and, most notably, a Training Excellence award from the Canadian Society for Training & Development. Kathryn is the President & Chief Learning Officer for her company Hotte Consulting Inc.
Formerly the President of the Durham Home & Small Business Association in Ontario Kathryn received a Business of the Year Award through that association. Kathryn moved to Cold Lake Alberta in 2013 and took on the role of Small Business Advisor where she received two awards from the Economic Developers of Alberta; one for a Business Incubator, the second for ‘Raising the Roof in Rural Alberta’. Kathryn was also awarded with the 2017 Women of Influence Award in the Business & Professional category.
Now residing in Beaumont, Alberta Kathryn continues to operate her training business, is a business advisor with Prospect Human Services, the President of the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce and is the Entrepreneur in Residence, Western Canada for The Princes Trust. Kathryn is also an actress starring in her first feature film, Moments in Spacetime, and is about to publish her book Txting 2 Talking; Disconnect to Reconnect.
