Description

Join us for family-friendly Saturday programs at the Workers Arts & Heritage Centre!

WORK IT!, our series of Saturday programs for youth and adults 12 and up will give visitors an opportunity to have unique, inter-generational learning and art-making experiences that connect with the themes featured in our museum. All programs start with a short guided tour of our main gallery exhibition. These workshops are a great chance for parents and teens to work side-by-side or together on a creative project.

All programs are PWYC! Pre-registration is required via Eventbrite; space in each workshop is limited. All workshop materials are provided.

April 21th, 1:30-4 pm Comic Jam with Althea Balmes and Keet Geniza

Comics are a powerful tool tell your story, and the story of your community. Join Kwentong Bayan’s Althea Balmes as she shares some of her recent work, techniques for creating comic zine layouts, and facilitates a comic jam with emerging artist Keet Geniza that will result in a group comic zine.
