From January 19th to the 30th, we welcome you to the New Forum Festival, celebrating issue #2 of our magazine. We have wonderful events and opportunities lined up inlcuding BIG WIG, our 2021 New Forum Art Exhibit that examines the culture of wigs and role they play in so many lives and so many ways!

New Forum Magazine is the revival of Calgary's memorable feminist publication, Forum Magazine, that ran between 1988 -2002. New Forum is a platform for local, emerging, creative, pioneering and underrepresented voices: women, people of colour, trans-identified individuals, two-spirit and non-binary writer, queer writers and writers with disabilities. We wanted to honour Forum by helping build a supportive and collaborative literary community, willing to explore new corners of feminism that represent the diversity in Alberta, nay the WORLD.
