Get ready to celebrate the transformative power of human rights journalism at Night for Rights 2013.

On Thursday, September 26th 2013, don’t miss one of Toronto’s best fundraising parties and an opportunity to inspire change worldwide.

When media puts the spotlight on human rights, positive change happens. When human rights are protected, people’s lives get better. Journalists for Human Rights empowers journalists to cover human rights stories objectively and effectively.

Join us at Night for Rights. Support positive change through media development and party for a great cause.

 Gala Dinner (6:30 pm – 9:00 pm)

The evening will begin at 6:30 pm with cocktails in the AGO’s spectacular Walker Court. Guest s will enjoy a gourmet dinner in Baillie Court catered by the AGO’s award winning team of chefs. The dinner will feature stories from JHR’s projects in Africa and a surprise keynote address.

Night for Rights After Dark Party (9:00pm – late)

At 9:00 pm the doors of the AGO will open to an additional 400 guests for an unforgettable night. Guests will dance the night away in style. The Night for Rights After Dark party will feature a premium bar, live music and DJs, delicious snacks, and much more.

By mobilizing the media to spread human rights awareness, JHR informs people about human rights, empowering marginalized communities to stand up, speak out and protect themselves.
