Description

This is a first! Tonight, Nikon Canada will feature two speakers - fellow Nikon Ambassadors, Michelle Valberg on Adventure & Wildlife Photography as well as Neil Ever Osborne on Conservation Photography.

NATURE IS CALLING: ADVENTURE & WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY with Michelle Valberg

Explore techniques on how to capture creative and compelling photographs while in the field. Michelle Valberg will showcase her adventure and wildlife photography from around the world and reveal the illuminating behind the scenes action.

Also, check out Michelle's exhibition, Nature is Calling, during the CONTACT Photography Festival at the Scotiabank Old Banking Hall.

CONSERVATION PHOTOGRAPHY with Neil Ever Osborne

Conservation photography is really about the actions a photographer takes after the images have been made. The real responsibility starts after the shutter has been tripped. It is about getting your images in front of the influential people that really need to see them. What are you doing with your images? Neil Ever Osborne discusses...

Nikon Canada certified technicians will be on hand to provide a complimentary sensor cleaning on your Nikon D-SLR or HD-SLR camera(s) - up to a maximum of two. Please ensure to drop these off at the beginning of the lecture.

ABOUT MICHELLE VALBERG

For over twenty-eight years Michelle Valberg has photographed Canadian landscapes and wildlife with the intention of regenerating simple beauty into a deeper reflection of humanity. Valberg’s portrayals of the natural world aim to draw viewers toward inner contemplation, based on the idea that building awareness and educating others through nature photography can inspire people to be better stewards of the natural world. By developing a deeper understanding of the interconnections between people, animals, and the environment, she believes that others can be motivated to take action in their local communities and beyond.

Michelle is a Canadian Nikon Ambassador and Canadian Geographic Photographer-in-Residence. She owns and operates Valberg Imaging Photography Studio in Ottawa.
