under the Nisga'a Final Agreement, Nisga'a Lisims Government has the rights, powers and obligations of a Local Authority under federal and provincial legislation in respect of Emergency Preparedness and emergency measures. this conference is one of many avenues used to ensure NLG and surrounding areas work together to be prepared in the event of a natural disaster.
