Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training is perfect for primary caregivers, educators and human service professionals who directly intervene in crisis situations. This is a ONE day NVCI session as it will involve physical disengagement techniques only and NOT restraints.
Your Instructor
Carlos Pereira is a certified NVCI instructor through the Crisis Prevention Institute. Carlos has worked in the Human Services field for over 15 years, working with individuals with all ages and a variety of disabilities. Carlos also comes with 10 years experience in Human Resources and Adult Training experience.
There will be a physical component to this training session, please ensure that you are physically capable of meeting the training necessary to pass the course. Also, if you are experiencing any cold symptoms whatsoever, please do not attend, we will ensure you get a refund or schedule you for the next training session.
This session will be packed with information and will use every minute that you are there from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. If you are more than 10 minutes, we recommend that you reschedule for another training session as you will have already missed several concepts. There will be 2 , 15 minute breaks and one 45 minute lunch break, it is recommended that you bring a lunch as there will be a kitchen for you to warm up and store your food. However there is a Starbucks across the street as well as a Mcdonalds a few blocks away.
