Artist information session - Sculpture
About this event
This free, online information session will support artists who are interested in applying to create a public art sculpture in northeast Calgary. This call is for a community sculpture at the Genesis Centre.
Artists or artist teams can apply to be considered.
Attendance is optional.
This project is open to all artists who work, live, play or have strong ties to northeast Calgary.
We welcome submissions from all qualified applicants and encourage submissions from groups that are typically underrepresented including racialized and Indigenous individuals, LGBTQ2S+ identifying individuals, francophone, deaf persons, and persons with disabilities.
While this call is open to everyone, we especially welcome applications from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour).
We’re looking forward to providing you with more details about the call, answering any questions you have about the submission process and offering guidance for compiling a successful application.
If you have questions either before or after the artist information session, please email publicart@calgary.ca and we’ll get back to you promptly.
Please review the full call to artists at calgary.ca/artistopportunities prior to this session and come ready with questions.
