Event description

Description

Join us at Riverdale Community Hall for an uplifting family weekend of music, prayer, learning, service opportunities and recreation.

Adult program (ages 15+) "Creating Space for Spiritual Conversations" with Michael and Judy Bopp.

In small group settings we will develop the skills needed to have uplifting and purposeful conversations on social and spiritual themes. Inspired by the talks of Abdul-Baha, we will learn how to relate the transformative vision of the Baha'i teachings to the present-day issues and concerns of our community.

Junior Youth Program (Ages 11-14) 'Speaking Up for Our Future'. Guided by older youth, this program will, through activities, arts, discussion and games, help our Junior Youth to develop the powers of eloquent speech and world-embracing vision, so they can inspire others with their words and actions.

Children's Program (ages 5-10) 'How Do We Build a Better World?' Through songs, games and activities inspired by the Bahai teachings, children will be encouraged to imagine and work toward the betterment of the world with their friends.

Childcare (ages 0-4) We have rented the Riverdale Childcare Centre, which is attached to the main hall, for the weekend. Your children will be supervised by a qualified child-care professional, right next door to you, during the adult sessions. A beautiful park and playground are also on-site.
