Description

Friday’s topic: Patterns and communication

Our shadow shows up in many ways - how and when we communicate is one of them. How do your unconscious patterns create suffering for yourself and those around you, and how are they impacting your communication?

Saturday’s topic: Unconscious aspects of the psyche and how they get us in trouble

Our blind spots, what is in shadow, is where we get ourselves in trouble! However, we can learn to bring these shadow aspects into the light. Doug Sensei is a master at shadow work - ask any of his students! - and this is your last chance to meet him in Calgary in 2019.

It’s by questioning our views that we set ourselves on the path to spiritual awakening, a.k.a ‘the great healing’. The results? We learn to dwell more and more in spaciousness, clarity, and bliss.

In these two evening lectures, meditation and shadow master Doug Duncan will offer practical teachings, advice, and tools to bring us to greater questioning and richer states of mind.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Is this for you?

These classes are for you if you’re looking for simple tools to transform challenging states and to train your mind to be brighter, lighter, and more joyful. You can attend either or both classes.

*Please arrive 10-15 minutes early as class will start promptly at 7pm.

About the Teacher

Although a hermit at heart, Doug Sensei walks his talk as a proponent of a fuller awakening through community and working together. He lives with his teaching partner Catherine Pawasarat and their students in conscious community, at Clear Sky Center in BC.

With five decades of meditation practice and four decades of teaching, Achariya Doug Duncan is a master in the Vajrayana lineage. He received lay ordination from Namgyal Rinpoche in 1978, and is a lineage holder in that teaching. Known for his direct, humourous and compassionate engagement with students, Doug embraces various traditions, contemporary psychology, and science, to mentor all beings to a more awakened state.
