About this event
Background / Introduction:
Research & Development (R&D) allows to address challenges and develop new opportunities to improve our everyday lifestyle / quality of life, taking into account the environment and social considerations. R&D requires significant investment, however when new technology is developed - it benefits a wide range of business within the economy. As a result, individual private business may not always be capable to investment into R&D alone, and this is where Municipal / Provincial / Federal Government supports R&D in strategic directions / fields. Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) supports R&D in the Energy field.
NRCan - CanmetENERGY - Ottawa R&D Facility has a mission is to lead the development of energy Science and Technology (S&T) solutions for the environmental and economic benefit of Canadians.
