Event description

Description

Kristina Archibald, a Manager for Research Partnerships in the Energy, Environment and Resources Division at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), will be on site at the University of Calgary on Monday, December 4th, 2017, to give a presentation about NSERC’s Strategic Partnership Grant for Projects (SPG-P) and Collaborative Research and Development Grant (CRD) programs. The information session will be held in the Biological Sciences Building, Room 587, from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

The goal of NSERC’s Strategic Partnership Grants (SPGs) is to increase research and training in targeted areas that could strongly enhance Canada’s economy, society and/or environment within the next 10 years. Research and training under these grants must be conducted through a partnership between academic researchers and industry or government organizations.

Collaborative Research and Development (CRD) grants are intended to give companies that operate from a Canadian base access to unique knowledge, expertise, and educational resources available at Canadian postsecondary institutions and to train students in essential technical skills required by industry.

Anyone interested in collaborating with industry and applying to the NSERC SPG-P or CRD Grant programs, or other NSERC Research Partnerships programs, is encouraged to attend this session.

In addition, we are scheduling 15-20 minute individual meetings with Ms. Archibald on December 4th for anyone interested in talking to her about their proposal or grant. If you are interested in meeting with Ms. Archibald, please contact Caitlin Russell at rsogrants@ucalgary.ca. Meeting slots are limited.
