Nukskahtowin Name Change Ceremony - In-person

We would like to invite our AU family, friends, allies, and Indigenous partners to our name change ceremony. The name of the new centre is Nukskahtowin which means “meeting place.”

The name was chosen by our Elder, Maria Campbell and her circle of Elders. We are pleased that the name given to our Indigenous Knowledge and Conciliation Centre represents a continued relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous partners. It is a place of reciprocal respect and relationship building.
