NUTRITION & MENTAL HEALTH

There are many who live with a variety of health conditions that can lead to a variety of mental health conditions such as depression, generalized anxiety disorder, eating disorders and others. Stress, certain medications and a variety of ‘triggers’ or sensitivities to ingredients in some of our foods can also create problems with an individual’s appetite, weight loss or gain and other issues that can worsen their nutritional status and impact the overall mental health of that individual in the long run. This is a one-day session that provides insight into the importance of healthy eating habits and behaviours as part of the overall treatment plan for everyone- especially those who are living with a mental health condition.
