Description

NuYu (Newcomer Youth) Program is an initiative of MOSAIC, a settlement and a non-profit organization in BC. NuYu is a program for migrant (immigrant and refugee) youth that uses popular theatre as a tool for participants to connect with one another and reflect on their lives and experiences as newcomers in a safe and welcoming space. NuYu uses popular theatre to explore their life experiences theough a variety of fames and theatre exercises. Each program session includes games, discussions, and theatre activities.

NuYu is lots of fun and a great way to connect with other immigrant and refugee youth. It's also a chance to be creative and gain tools that you can use to better express yourself.


The program this fall, we are accepting immigrant and refugee youth, international students and Canadian citizens.

Each session, we will provide food, bus tickets, and certificate at the end of the program.


the program dates are as follows: Sept. 23, 30; Oct. 14, 21, 28; Nov. 4, 18, 24; Dec. 2


At the end of the program, youth participants will be performing their skits and scenes in front of families and friends.
