Sunday Evenings in October, 7:00 p.m. in our Interpretive Centre

Learn about the Victorian fascination with the occult including explorations of the supernatural, fortune telling and parlour magic.

Cost: $75.00 + HST for the series or $25.00 + HST per workshop (individual registration links below)

Spiritualism and Psychical Research: Victorian Ghost Stories and the Eldon House Ghost

Sunday, October 7, 7:00 p.m. in our Interpretive Centre

Learn about the Victorians fascination with the practice of Spiritualism, the science behind Psychical Research and how these popular movements connect to London's oldest ghost story. Hear the Eldon House ghost story, a tale of love, loss and the supernatural and why psychical research validated Sarah Harris' paranormal experience in 1841.

Enjoy discussions on the history and health benefits of tea lead by instructor Caroline Whitehead and practice the art of tea leaf reading, a popular pastime in Victorian society.

Caroline Whitehead is a professional tarot consultant here in London. She is also a tea enthusiast, and has been practicing tasseomancy for close to ten years.

Join Corbin on a 100 year journey that will make you see magicians in a whole new light. Starting with magic's humble beginnings at European fairs and markets to the Victorian Parlours of high society and finally to shows traveling across North America where magician's often mounted an attack on spiritualists and the supernatural. During this lecture you will learn magicians have some secrets they want to share!

The Amazing Corbin a.k.a. Mike Fisher is a professional full time magician, a magic historian and the president of the London Ontario magician's guild. Mr. Fisher has been performing and studying magic most his life and presents an enjoyable, magical and often humorous talk. Walking with Shadows: A Paranormal Investigator's Journey into the "Unknown"

What happens at Eldon House after the staff shut off all the lights, lock all the doors and go home? S.N.I.P.E.R. Paranormal, a locally based paranormal team, were privileged to experience what goes on at Eldon House when darkness falls. Join us for a talk with two Paranormal Investigators that conducted an overnight lockdown at Eldon House. The presentation will focus on facts and information regarding the paranormal, investigating the paranormal, the use of equipment, and personal experiences. Find out what S.N.I.P.E.R. Paranormal experienced during their overnight at Eldon House!
