Organizer

St. Margaret's School and Ocean Networks Canada

Founded in 1908, St. Margaret’s School (SMS) is an all-girl, independent day and boarding school located in the City of Victoria on the scenic west coast of British Columbia, Canada. Tucked away on 22-acres of park-like land in the Lakehill area bordering on Blenkinsop Lake and a network of trails, it is hard to imagine a more perfect environment in which to learn and grow. SMS is a community that cares deeply about girls; we have been dedicated to their education, development and well-being for over a century. Together, we help girls become powerful learners with the knowledge, attitudes and courage to thrive – in their studies and careers, and in life.

Established in 2007 as a major initiative of the University of Victoria, Ocean Networks Canada operates world-leading ocean observatories for the advancement of science and the benefit of Canada. The observatories collect data on physical, chemical, biological, and geological aspects of the ocean over long time periods, supporting research on complex Earth processes in ways not previously possible.
