A two-day conference brought to you by OCIC is focused on the professional development and capacity-building of NGO practitioners in the international development and global education sector. 

What Happens at the Forum?

The Forum includes a series of practical, tool-based workshops and presentations on new and emerging issues in international development.  The event provides a space for networking, skill-sharing and cross-sector understanding.

Who Should Attend?

  •    OCIC Member Organizations (all staff, volunteers and affiliates are welcome)
  •         OCIC Associate Members
  • Staff and volunteers of other (non-member) international NGOs 
  • Southern partners in international development and global education 
  • Students/Youth looking to enter the field of international development 
  • Practitioners of other disciplines interested in applying practical tools to their professional     
    development and/or learning about international issues

FORUM PROGRAM

Forum Tracks are catered to various departments or roles in an international NGO (such as programming, public engagement, fundraising, administration, etc). Participants are welcome to attend any combination of sessions ( ie, you are not limited to one track).

Track 1:
Overseas Operations

Does your role involve 'on-the-ground' coordination for your organization's projects? This track was made for you.

Track 2:
Organization & Human Resource Development

Do you handle 'in-house' operations at your organization's office?  Finance and administration officers, you'll find some pertinent trainings in this track.

Track 3:
Reaching the Canadian Public

Are you a fundraiser or public relations officer? Do you work in engaging Canadians in your projects?  Find the skills you're looking for here.

You will receive an email from intern[at]ocic.on.ca within 2 business days of your eventbrite registration, asking you to list your preferences for specific workshops you wish to attend.  Seating is limited in certain workshops, so please respond promptly.
