-- JACQUELINE TEH --

Jacqueline Teh is a vocalist, composer, and educator based in Toronto and Markham, Ontario. Having graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Jazz Performance majoring in voice, she has composed music for and performed with various ensembles at U of T, and is featured in the U of T Jazz 12tet’s 2016 album “Trillium Falls”. Jacqueline is active in both the Toronto jazz and choral communities and performs with and composes music regularly for the Cantabile Chamber Singers. She has also participated in choral projects including R. Murray Schafer’s “Apocalypsis” during the 2015 Toronto Luminato Festival and the “1000 Voices for Peace” Project in Brussels, Belgium in 2014. Recently, Jacqueline’s jazz and R&B collective project, Moodset, was selected as part of the TD Jazz Festival’s Discovery Series Special Projects.

Jacqueline’s recent project titled “Love is a colour” is the result of a self-driven 30-day song challenge. Over the course of July, Jacqueline wrote and posted one new original song a day. The title “Love is a colour” occurred because each song represents a different aspect or type of love and is paired with a Pantone colour and a single-word title. The colours provide an additional layer of stimulation - beyond the music, a visual aspect is given to encourage an even deeper connection to the music. Currently, Jacqueline is seeking the help of several producers and artists to bring her vision together - a full-length album that explores multiple perspectives of love through music and visual art.

-- JESS LEUNG --

With a sweet, jazz-tinged voice, Jess Leung shines through her music about self-discovery and life’s intimate moments. Influenced by the music of John Mayer, Maggie Rogers, Kacey Musgraves, Ellie Goulding, Stromae, and Ingrid Michaelson, Jess shows an ease and confidence in her own contemporary pop style. With folk-inspired melodies and relatable lyrics, Jess is both sincere and charming as a singer-songwriter. A finalist of the 2018 John Lennon Songwriting Competition and an anthem singer for the Toronto Raptors, the classical flutist and pianist released her first single, “Rollercoaster”, in November 2018.

Jess has performed at venues including The Burdock, the Harbourfront Centre with the Art of Time Ensemble, Mod Club and Revival Club as the 2016 winner of the Landmark Events showcase. She has also performed at The Supermarket, 120 Diner, and C'est What as part of Canadian Music Week, as well as The Rivoli with the sold-out comedy show, SHADE. Jess is more than excited to join this year’s Honey Jam family and looks forward to sharing new music in the coming year.

-- EREZ ZOBARY --

Erez Zobary has a unique personal sound that’s become unmistakable in a crowd. Raised on Stevie Wonder and Amy Winehouse, Erez blends the sounds and styles of her youth with more contemporary and electronic influences.

For the last five years, all while pursuing a Bachelor of Education, Erez has played a series of concerts to growing audiences around the country, from sold-out shows at venues like The Supermarket in Toronto, to packed theatres at TEDxQueensU in Kingston, and the National Music Centre in Calgary, as a participant in the RBC Master in Residence Program with Steven Page. Most recently, Erez participated as a selected artist in Honey Jam, a program showcasing up-and-coming female artists. Performing with an unpretentious and charismatic style, her intention is to curate connectivity and strengthen the relationship between the sound, the space, and the people.
