Description

This workshop is an introductory hands-on lesson teaching the pressure canning methods and safety standards. In this workshop we will be canning tomato sauce with your choice of onions, garlic, peppers, chilli, celery, mushrooms, and assorted fresh herbs. Each student will take home what they make in class.

Space is limited to 12 participants, so please register early to avoid disapointment!

COST: $20 and bursaries are available to those in need.

WHAT TO BRING: 8-12 pint sized (500ml) canning jars with new lids and bands in good condition (no rust or dents). LUSH Valley supplies all of the food.

Workshops are instructed by Lynda Smith of Lawn to Food. A recent Chopped Canada competitor, Lynda shares her passion for growing organic food with anyone who is interested in doing the same.
