Event description

Description

Do you know a young Black woman who is interested in pursuing a professional career and looking for inspiration and advise from Black women supporters?

The Sistahs In Law: Paving the Way Conference is designed for that exact young lady!

If you are a Black, Brown or Aboriginal girl in grades 11-12…REGISTER TO ATTEND!!

The Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN) is partnering with the Black Female Lawyers Network (BFLN) to offer registration spaces for this year's Sistahs-in-Law Retreat, on Friday November 10th (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) at Daniels Spectrum (585 Dundas Street East, Toronto, ON M5A 2B7).

The participants aka "Little Sistahs" will be matched with a "Big Sistah", a Black woman currently working in law who will act as their mentor for the day, introducing them to other Sistahs in law while answering questions and providing support throughout the program. There are great interactive panel discussions, information booths and a keynote address that participants can enjoy! The program has been made possible thanks to sponsorship by law firms and individual justice sector professionals, at a personal cost of $100 per Little Sistah.

If you are interested in registering, or you know a young participant who is interested, please complete the Eventbrite sign up and shortly after, a registration package with further details will be sent to you.
