Olokun is the Orisha of the deep ocean, the ocean floor, and the mysteries hidden in dark waters. By honouring her, Olokun helps brings stability and a firm foundation to our lives. Just like when you first opened your eyes beneath the ocean waves to see the beautiful "other world" stretched out infront of you, Olokun is said to reveal hidden abundance and opportunity, clearing the mystery and confusion from our eyes and minds, allowing us to dream big and bring those ideas to realization

In this rare public event, participants will have the opportunity to experience a traditional Lucumi Orisha ceremony of cleansing and stabilization, guided by initiated Orisha practitioners. Communicating with the Orisha through traditional offerings of food, songs and ancient prayers, we ask Olokun to help clear the frustrations, struggles, sadness, uncertainty and insecurity of the past months so that we may all greet the new year with a fresh sense of deep mental and emotional stability in ourselves and our future. both personally and as a community.

To safely facilitate this event, tickets will be available in 30 min blocks. Each group will be introduced to and complete their part of the ceremony in this time. Only one group at a time will be allowed in the space. All participants must sanitize their hands upon entry and wear masks during the ceremony. Social distancing will be followed by all Orisha participants.
