Event description

Description

B.C.’s maritime industry links Canada to global markets, it creates employment and it strengthens the economy. In fact, through the employers who are members of the B.C. Maritime Employers Association, more than 8 million longshore hours were worked in B.C. in 2016. Most of those were in the Greater Vancouver area.

Join us for this free presentation by the B.C. Maritime Employers Association to learn about:

  • Types of skilled waterfront jobs
  • How thousands of workers are dispatched every day
  • How the waterfront contributes to the economy

Guest speaker:

John Beckett, Vice President, Training, Safety and Recruitment

B.C. Maritime Employers Association

Presentation: 7 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.

Limited seating. Please RSVP by October 14.

THIS SESSION IS SOLD OUT. PLEASE REGISTER TO JOIN THE WAITLIST. We will contact you when a seat becomes available.
