Event description

Description

Come learn more about Community Hubs through the lens of arts, culture, and colocation of community services!

A panel discussion on inspiring possibilities and challenges of community hubs. We'll hear from experts and community members who have been involved in developing arts & culture hubs and or community hubs that have brought together important community services under one roof! Our hope is that this panel will provide learning and inspiration that residents can bring to future community consultations about the proposed Parkdale Community hub at Queen-Cowan.

Co-hosted by Melana Roberts and Mercedes Sharpe Zayas of the Power Lab and the Parkdale People's Economy.

Panellists include:

Jermyn Creed - Daniels Spectrum

Geneviève Wallen - Younger than Beyonce Gallery

Spencer Phillips - UrbanArts

Shane Beharry - East Scarborough Storefront

Joy Simone Brown - Jane St. Hub

Ernestine Aying - Green Change at Jane/Finch Centre

Anita Wong - Parkdale Project Read
