Training Day is 9:00am - 4:30pm Online.
What to Expect:
- Expert Guidance: Participants will be trained by experienced facilitators who specialize in crisis management, providing you with practical tools to use in real-world situations.
- Active Participation: Expect a dynamic learning environment with role-playing scenarios, group discussions, and practice exercises. You’ll have opportunities to develop and refine key skills in de-escalation, communication, and stress management.
- Skill Building: You will learn evidence-based techniques for defusing conflict, using both verbal and non-verbal communication to de-escalate situations, and safely disengaging when necessary. Special focus is given to active listening, assertiveness, and setting clear limits while maintaining respect and empathy.
- Real-World Application: Gain a deeper understanding of your own responses in a crisis, and how your personal history and emotional triggers can influence your interactions. You'll also be equipped to address both acute and chronic crises effectively in a variety of professional settings.
- Accredited Training: This workshop is accredited by prominent organizations, including the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, the Law Society of Ontario, the Mental Health Commission of Canada, and others. Completing the program ensures you meet industry standards for crisis management.
- Networking: You'll connect with other professionals in your field and gain insight into best practices used across various sectors.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a toolkit of strategies that will enable you to handle crisis situations more effectively, reduce personal stress in challenging environments, and foster a safer, more productive work atmosphere.
