ONLINE Information Session - Culinary Skills (Preparatory Training) Program

About this event
The Culinary Skills (Preparatory Training) Program is a free, employment training program that supports individuals who have mental health and/or addiction histories in preparing, finding and maintaining employment in the foodservice industry. This 8-month program runs once a year from early September to late April.
At no cost to the participant, this program integrates:-job focused education and training-industry recognized certification-academic support during the program-industry work placement-post-program employment
Prior to attending an information session, we encourage you to do some research about our program so that you know the questions you may want to ask or what areas you'd like to know more about. INFORMATION SESSION
This 45-minute information session will be conducted online via Zoom and can be viewed by both desktop and hand-held devices, however we recommend you use a desktop computer or laptop to join for stronger Internet connectivity. The purpose of our information sessions is for you to get a better understanding of our program, as well as what it’s like to be a George Brown student. During this session, we will cover the following:
- program admission requirements
- courses and certifications offered
- the application process
At the end of the presentation, you will have an opportunity to ask questions.
All those who register for an information session will receive an email containing a URL web link to access the information session. This email will be sent to you 48 hours in advance and you will be able to log into the session 5 minutes before it is set to take place.

Unfortunately no. Due to COVID-19, George Brown College is currently closed to in-person activities.
