St. Andrew's Wesley Church

St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church, located in downtown Vancouver, is a LGBTQ affirming congregation. Our Mission is ‘to be a light in the heart of the city’ and to be a progressive community committed to justice.

The St. Andrew’s Refugee Committee, in affiliation with the United Church of Canada, is comprised entirely of dedicated volunteers. Since 2010, the committee has been 100% responsible for the successful settlement and integration of 13 refugees into our community. Due to a urgent need and the vulnerability of individuals identified by Canada Immigration, the committee has a new mission to sponsor and settle four gay male refugee applicants from the Middle East over the next two years.
