Share your art works and border crossing stories with the community.

About this event

Join us on the third Thursday of every month for an open mic event.

Participants can grab tickets as presenters (limited to 10 per event) or audience members.

This is an opportunity to showcase some of your proudest works or accomplishments and tell your border crossing story associated with the pieces. Share something new, or even an unfinished piece that you need the inspiration to finish. We welcome all forms of expression to the virtual stage, whether that is a poem, a dance, a song, a work of visual art, or any of the other countless forms of artistic expression.

Come support your local artists, friends, and up-and-coming creatives as they share their works. This is a fully inclusive and welcoming space and your presence and support are so valuable to these artists.

Facilitated by the Art Gallery of Mississauga’s border crossings Project, the time allotted per presenter will be dependent on the total number of presenters. Each presenter will have at least 5 minutes to present. We ask that you please attend promptly at the start time.

Each event will also have a featured artist who will share some of their works with us, based on their personal border crossing story. Who will be featured next?

Note: By attending this event, you give consent and authorize the AGM to use photographic images and video/audio footage of yourself during the program for future advertising and publicity material on behalf of the AGM, including but not limited to the promotion of their programs and campaigns and without restriction as to the making of moderate changes or alterations by the AGM to support the aesthetics and branding of the AGM.

This workshop is a part of the border crossings project presented by the Art Gallery of Mississauga. It is generously funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Ontario Arts Council, and the City of Mississauga.

KINDLY NOTE: You will receive the ZOOM link 1 hour before the workshop begins. Please check your JUNK/SPAM folder if you do not receive it.
