About this event
Robert Molloy (he/him, they/them) is a queer, trans-masculine, autistic poet recently graduated from Ryerson University. Robert is an organizer at “Hot Damn is a Queer Slam”, the travelling LGBTQ+ slam poetry show. Robert uses poetry as a way to educate and entertain. He has written about his experience as a trans person, sexual violence, mental illness, and many more difficult subjects. He has featured with the BAM Youth Slam team in 2018 at the Toronto Poetry Slam Finals, and as the sac poet in 2019. He has attended the College and Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) for the last three years. In 2018, the team won "Pushing the Art Forwards" and placed 16th out of 66 teams in Philadelphia. In 2019, the team made the semi-finals and he was in the running for 'Best Poet.' Currently, Rob's goals are to tell his friends he loves them more.
