Event description

Description

Stronger than Stigma & MEDLIFE Concordia are proud to present, Opening Minds to Mental Health!

The afternoon will feature 3 notable speakers, who will be sharing their personal stories, debunking myths about mental illness, and discussing self-care! The speaker series will be followed by exciting activities such as puzzles & board games, designing mandalas and henna tattoos. Our very own DJ Tobi from Elite Events & Entertainment will be on board to light the place up with music. If our speakers, workshops, and music aren’t enough to entice you to reserve a free ticket, we’ll also be offering FREE FOOD and non-alcoholic beverages!!

This event is open to all members of the public, including students and faculty from all programs. Please join us as we continue the conversation about mental health, listen to inspirational stories from our speakers and guests, and network with likeminded individuals. Let’s empower the movement to de-stigmatize mental illnesses.

The event will take place at the Concordia University Conference Centre (John Molson building, 9th floor, 1450 Guy St.) at the Sir George Williams campus. This event will be free of charge so please RSVP your attendance to save a seat!

Speakers will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event, but we assure you, these presenters will not disappoint! We invite everyone to join the dialogue; together, we can be stronger than stigma.

The MEDLIFE Concordia team has taken the initiative to grow roots in the communities of Montreal and to help in any way that the team finds fitting. The aim is to ensure that the team’s overall objectives stem from local community involvement and then spread to families across the world that are in need. www.facebook.com/MEDLIFEConcordiaUniversity
