Join us on Thursday, April 28 at 7pm at the Meridian Arts Centre to meet the artist Kwasi Kyei, and be the first to see this exhibition in person!
Weaving narratives at once familiar and enigmatic, emerging Ghanaian-born, Toronto-based photographer Kwasi Kyei engages thoughtfully with a history of Black male representation through formally and stylistically varied images.
Honam: An Akan Word for Body is open April 28th - May 29th, 2022 as part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. Curated by Courtnay McFarlane and presented in partnership with Legacies in Motion: Black Queer Archival Project and TO Live.
Location: Meridian Arts Centre, 5040 Yonge Street
