Opening the Door is a unique networking event for High School students who are interested in pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. This is a valuable opportunity for students to meet with professionals who work in a variety of fields. This is a FREE event. Bring your friends!
3:00 – Doors open early. Explore Quantum: The Exhibition until the event begins @ 4pm! *
4:00 – Welcome and introduction of scientists in the Science Theatre
4:15 – Panel discussion and networking tips
4:45 – Networking session for students and scientists
5:45 – Door prizes and acknowledgements
6:00 – Event ends, Quantum: The Exhibition closes for the day
Student participants are given the unique opportunity to:
--Engage in a panel discussion with professionals and gain an insightful look into possible careers in science
--Develop potential career contacts
--Learn and practice networking skills through meeting and talking with mentors, fellow students and teachers
