A day-long online retreat using spiritual practices led by Swami Matananda & Paris Marshall Smith

About this event

In this time of limitation and unknown, take some time to explore what can be imagined for the future. Where is the potential? What do you want to create? What does your future look like? Explore your imagination using yogic tools such as breath, visualization and yoga poses.

You will need comfortable clothing for this workshop, your journal and a pen.

Details

Date & Time: This online retreat is on Saturday, May 22 and consists of two online classes with an assignment in between. Online class times are from 10:00-11:30am PDT and 2:00-4:00pm PDT. Please ensure that you have checked to see what time this is in your timezone.

Location: This class will be held online using Zoom.

Investment: $90.

A 50% bursary is available for those experiencing financial constraints, no questions asked. Simply email online-bursary@yasodhara.org before purchasing a ticket and you will automatically receive an email with instructions on how to purchase a ticket at a reduced price.

Enrolment: Online retreats are limited to 21 participants. If the class is full, you will have the option to join a wait list.

Accessing the Online Retreat:

Once you register, you will receive an email from EventBrite with a link to the Online Event Page which has information on how to join the retreat via Zoom. There will be two Zoom links on the Online Event Page - one for each session. You will need to be logged into EventBrite with the same email address you used to purchase the class in order to access the Online Event Page.

This online retreat includes small group work so we ask that you connect with your own device if multiple people from your household are participating.

About Swami Matananda

Swami Matananda has been living and teaching at the Ashram since 1990. She first came for the 10 Days of Yoga and she has been on a path of ever-deepening commitment to Swami Radha’s work since that time. She has a background as an elementary school teacher and an artist, with degrees in Education and Fine Art from Alaska University. In addition to teaching and managing at the Ashram she has worked at Radha Centres and with Timeless publications and videos. She loves the Ashram land and the people.

About Paris Marshall Smith

Paris Marshall Smith began working at Radha Yoga and Eatery in Vancouver in 2007. She quickly realized that she wanted to spend an extended period of time learning about the Yasodhara Yoga teachings and living in community. After completing her graduate studies as a community and regional planner in 2010, she moved to the Ashram to support the work of building resilient systems related to food, energy and community. Her devotion to the teachings and their message of inner and outer integrity extends into working with local advocacy and community development organizations throughout the region. Paris identifies as queer, non-binary, gender fluid.
