Welcome to the Medical Carnival!

This year, OMS Ottawa is hosting their annual conference online, and we have many exciting events planned for you. On every Saturday of March, we will be hosting conferences that will provide great insight, knowledge, and advice for aspiring health care workers like yourself.

Here are all of the amazing events we have planned:

March 6th, 2021 from 12:00-1:00 PM EST- Keynote Speakers

You will be able to hear from 2 diverse keynote speakers and learn about their specialties, background, and advice that they have for medical-oriented students.

Dr. Charles Agbi: Neurosurgeon

Dr. Oluwole Jegede: Psychiatrist

March 13th, 2021 from 12:00-1:00 PM EST- Speed Dating

There will be many speakers from a variety of medical backgrounds. This event will allow you to have more intimate conversations with speakers from research labs, international post-secondary admission officers, and med/undergrad students.

March 20th, 2021 from 12:00-1:00 PM EST- Medical Panel

This event will comprise of three panelists of varying specialties (pharmacist and rheumatologist) and an open Q&A to answer all of your pressing questions about the medical and health science field.

Dr. Claudia Malic: Pediatric Plastic Surgeon

March 27th, 2021 from 12:00-1:00 PM EST- Workshop

This event will include an online workshop that will feature case studies, discussions, and problem-solving activities. It is also an excellent opportunity to network with professionals and like-minded peers.

Led by Priya Dhir: University of Toronto Medical Student

There are TWO ticket options for this conference:

1. FULL PASS (15$)- You will be granted access to all 4 events and be given a 2 for 1 popcorn coupon courtesy of Kernels!

2. INDIVIDUAL EVENT PASSES (5$ each) - You are able to choose which specific events you want to attend.

We also have a series of exciting raffle this year. Certain prizes include an online escape room pass from Escape Manor and up to $100 worth of gift certificates from Pi Rho Grill.
