Operationalizing Threat Intelligence for Threat Hunting
Event Information
About this Event
Hi Everyone
The MCTI team is thrilled to share that we have a fantastic speaker and topic for January. ISA Cybersecurity’s resident Digital Forensics and Incident Response expert, Neumann Lim, will be sharing his thought leadership and hands-on experience with operationalizing threat intelligence for threat hunting.
According to IBM’s 2020 Cost of a Data Breach Report, security automation solutions — including AI, analytics and orchestration — and incident response (IR) preparedness, including formation of IR teams and testing IR plans, showed the greatest reduction in data breach costs. Threat intelligence is a key component in security operations and automation.
Key Takeaways:
• Understand the difference between intelligence and threat intelligence
• Lifecycle of threat intelligence gathering and its maturity within an organization
• The importance of intelligence driven threat hunting
• Indicators of Compromise (IOC): What is it, how is it created and how it factors into threat hunting
NOTE: This talk is interactive and questions will be asked to the audience.
