Description

Opioid overdose is a serious public health issue in Toronto and Canada. In 2015, 253 people died from overdose in Toronto. The Works, Toronto Public Health has been tasked with providing overdose prevention and response training for Toronto Public Service and staff of Toronto community agencies. The Works staff who will be conducting the training have experience managing opioid overdose events.

This training will provide participants with information on how to monitor spaces and recognize and respond to an opioid overdose, including training on how to administer naloxone.
