Description

Combining alcohol with opioids increases the risk of overdose. If your business serves alcohol, having naloxone and ensuring staff know how to use it could help save a life.

Tailored for bars and restaurants, this training will teach you how to:

  • Recognize an overdose

  • Respond to an overdose

  • Use naloxone

Participants will receive a free intranasal naloxone kit ($175 value).*

Facillitator Biography
Chris Jardin is the Harm Reduction & Education Coordinator at PARN - Your Community AIDS Resource Network. Chris has trained hundreds of service providers and individuals across the region on harm reduction and opioids. He is a strong advocate for reducing stigma against individuals who use substances.

Will participants receive naloxone kits after the training?

Yes. Each business that sends a minimum of 2 staff to the training and agrees to hang a poster indicating that naloxone is available on site is eligible to receive a free naloxone kit.

Who should attend this training?

Bartenders, servers, bouncers, owners of businesses that serve alcohol.

How many staff members from my organization or business can attend?

Each business may send up to 2 staff.

I am a community member. Can I attend this training?

This event is for bars and restaurants only. We are planning other events for community members.
