Event description
How do you "direct yourself with a purpose" and how do you help your students to learn to "direct themselves with a purpose"?

About this Event

Trainer: Julie Peck

(Accompanied by Assistant Trainer: Gisele St. Hilaire)

Moshe Feldenkrais describes all action being composed of Timing, Orientation & Manipulation. He further describes the orientation component as "directing yourself with a purpose" .

  • In this advanced training Julie will lead us in explorations of this component of movement organization in detail.
  • How do we use and direct our attention to orient ourselves from our internal to external environments, and from the big picture to the detail, seamlessly and with reversibility?

  • We will explore these ideas in both ATM and FI, with a large component directed towards our self use.

"I absolutely loved Julie Peck as a visiting teacher in my training!" ~Fariya Doctor

"I found Julie to be an extraordinary teacher!...the kind that can crawl into a very small space between a trainee's hands and their subject & not be 'in the way'...all the while elucidating the sensation of 'what's there to be discovered'! Wow!" ~Marlene Kennedy
