About this event
Learn more about becoming a volunteer therapy dog team with Ottawa Therapy Dogs!
Ottawa Therapy Dogs (OTD) provides invaluable care and support through animal-assisted interventions. We serve people of all ages in health care, educational and social services facilities regularly throughout the National Capital Region.
Interested in volunteering with your own dog?
We invite you to attend our next Information Session on September 26, 2022 if you:
- Are available for one or more hours on weekdays (Mondays to Fridays between 9-5pm)
- Have a well-mannered dog between 2-10 years of age who loves people. (If your dog is a rescue or re-homed, they must have lived with you for a minimum of one year.)
- Have an interest in visiting clients in health care, educational or social services facilities.
- Enjoy bringing smiles & hope to others.
- Are willing to learn and implement OTD’s standards & practices to provide and promote ethical and safe animal-assisted interventions.
