Ottawa Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History
Sun, 28 May 2017, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. At present, there is no cure. Our goal is to change that through fundraising and spreading awareness in the community through events such as the annual Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History. Families and friends participate to raise money and enjoy a fun-filled day of events, food, and prizes. Last year, participants helped raise approximately $120,000 towards the cause. The walk is held during National Cystic Fibrosis awareness month to celebrate fundraising efforts in the past year while imagining a world without CF.
