Join us on December 31st from 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm for Ottawa's Pokemon Party for CHEO.
This event is previously known as Ottawa's Annual Superhero Party for CHEO (this would be our third year). Seeing that my kids are obesssed with Pokemons I decided we would modify the theme this year and blow their minds with a Pokemon training and trading event. I understand that Pokemons have taken the world by storm but this is a children's event and targets kids between the ages of 4 and 10.
20 stations made to develop their pokemon trainer skills - inflatable structures, pokemon trading, pokemon training exercises, obstacle courses ... basically lots of excitment!!
Children will receive a pokemon pack upon arrival. Kids who want to are also encouraged to bring their pokemons to trade as there will be trading stations set-up.
One of the sponsors will have a Pokemon marketplace where kids can buy pokemon items (wallets, stuffies, toys, shirts etc.). 10% of all sales will be going to CHEO.
Children will be provided a passport and as they circulate through the venu with the 20 activity stations they accumulate stickers to keep track of where else they need to go.
I will update the following information regularily as the sponsors confirm, so please keep checking in to see how the event progresses (please note the numbers on the stations may be switched around)

Story behind Ottawa's Pokemon Party for CHEO ...
I am a CHEO cardiology mom and I created Petch Project for CHEO.
Petch Project for CHEO has raised $15,000 thus far and we hope to raise $6000 this year alone.
Liam was born October 19th, 2012 with an aeortic valve stenosis - a heart defect. At the young age of 33 days he needed his first and hopefully his last surgery. Over the course of the next 18 years we will be part of the CHEO family - over the course of the next 18 years we hope to raise a total of $171,000 for CHEO.
Every year we raise our objective by $1000 and with these events we are ahead of target. My son is 4 years old and we are working on year 6 objective of $6000.
The event will be held at the Richcraft Recreation Complexe here in Kanata. I again expect the event to be sold out with over 250 participants - we are expanding again this time by renting extra gym space to accomodate the larger group. My objective is to raise $3000 with this event alone, and if we are lucky to raise a little more that will get us closer to our $6000 annual target amount.
The 4 previous organised events have all sold out. I am building this event in the hopes that all the parents will find good value to their $25 donation and in the hopes to create an event they will want to return to year after year until their little princess out-grows it.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me - I will do my best to respond quickly but I have quite a bit on my plate so bare with me :)
