We are three art therapist students who love organizing art therapy workshops in support of vulnerable women and children. This time we are holding an art therapy workshop to raise awareness and funds for Shelter Movers Vancouver. Shelter Movers is a Canadian non-profit organization that combats gender-based violence by providing free moving and storage services to women and children who are leaving abusive homes and helps them to transition to a life free of abuse.

In this event we will begin with a brief description of Shelter Movers Vancouver and what they do. We will then go on to an hour of creation and art therapy. The art directives will be strength-based to enhance a sense of belonging, kindness and compassion between participants and a greater connection to the community.

We will also have as an exciting art auction, opening the collection, "flowers", with art pieces from newest collection of nargess@persianpoetryart. All proceeds will go directly to Shelter Movers to support raising funds for families fleeing violence.
