THE FIRST IN A SERIES OF EVENTS ON ROBOTICS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
“Ready or not, the robots are coming. There will be cars driving themselves, with no steering wheel for us to grab. Delivery drones will maneuver around patio furniture and vegetable gardens to drop packages in backyards. Delivery carts on sidewalks will hum along, bringing pizza boxes to our front doors.”

Introducing THE RIIFT: The Robotics and Interactive Intelligence Festival of Toronto – an exploration of robots, artificial intelligence, and the future.
The robot revolution is on. Self driving cars, drones, bots, and AIs are here, but there are big questions. What are robots? What will they look like? How will we communicate with them? What should they do? What will be left for us to do?
Out of THE RIIFT is here to confront those questions.
We’re bringing together a diverse group of inventors, founders, early adopters, technologists, students, artists, designers, researchers, and visionaries to talk about the autonomous future. To see robot art created using experimental haptic feedback + demo cutting edge robot controls; to be challenged by systems being developed in garages and labs; to be inspired to help create the robotic future.
Robotics and AIs are transforming how we work, what we eat, how we move. They are transforming how we live.
That’s something worth talking about.
“Fast forward to 2016, and robots have become so integrated into our lives that it’s easy to forget that they are even there. We rely on robots to perform everyday tasks like planning our travel route, processing our grocery shopping and updating our diaries.”
Abdul Montaqim, Robotics and Automation News, April 25, 2016
The event will run from 10am to 5pm.
